Virtual academic advising sessions are only available to admitted and/or currently enrolled students. Prospective students, students who have not applied to STLCC, should contact one of our academic advising locations to make arrangements.
If you are admitted to STLCC and/or an enrolled student, you may schedule your appointment at www.stlcc.edu/advising. Please note during the months of January and August you will need to contact academic advising directly to schedule a virtual academic advising appointment.
It is important when setting your appointment that you indicate the following in the comments section for your advisor: preference for an online appointment or phone appointment.
You can expect to have 30 minutes from your scheduled appointment start time with your academic advisor during your virtual academic advising session. To maximize the time you have with your advisor, you are expected to complete the following prior to the appointment:
We understand that unexpected events may affect your scheduled appointment. If you are unable to make the appointment, you will need to reschedule. If your sessions does not begin within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time you will be asked to reschedule.
In order to maximize the time spent with your advisor, please make sure to run and review your degree audit prior to your appointment.
Joining Online? The link for your appointment will be in your appointment confirmation and reminder emails. Simply click on the link to begin the session.
We will use Blackboard Collaborate for our online appointments. Please feel free to learn more about using this tool here - Participant Guide to Blackboard Collaborate.
Joining by Phone? The phone number for the advisor will be in your appointment confirmation and reminder emails.
If the advisor does not hear from you within 5 minutes of the start time they will reach out to you by phone.
