Child Care

Family comes first. That’s why we provide every student with child care solutions, so you can trust the most important part of your life is in good hands, while a textbook is in yours.

Child Care Assistance & Resources

The early years of a child’s life are critical for healthy development. While you work toward the future, let us help in the here and now. STLCC helps connect students with child care grants and even offers a child development center for students to use.

Child Development Center

The first five years play a major role in setting a child up for life. That’s why a focus on development and stimulation are a must-have when looking for child care.

You can trust that your child’s growth is a priority at our Child Development Center. Located on our Florissant Valley campus, the center offers all students and the larger community both affordable and development-driven child care.

Nationally accredited and licensed, our large staff of teachers, attendants and students provides us with one of the best child-to-adult ratios in the area. Our early care and education department also works closely with the center to create formative, age-appropriate experiences.

Refer to the parent handbook for more of what to expect from the Child Development Center, as well as expectations for participating parents.

For students

Ease of mind costs only $5 an hour with Campus Care through our Child Development Center. The center will provide care for your child while you attend classes, are participating in a work study program or studying on campus.

Enrolling your child is easy! Visit the center on the northwest corner of the Florissant Valley campus, directly off Pershall Road. You'll need:

  • An official copy of your child’s birth certificate
  • Your current class schedule
  • A $15 registration fee (check or money order)

For the community

The Child Development Center offers child care for the community and students to use when working off campus, including weekly, three- or two-day programs for children six weeks through six years.
