Looking for an Exciting Career at Boeing? Now Recruiting for Spring 2024!

STLCC offers two training pathways for assembly mechanic jobs at Boeing. The training is free and ideal for those who are mechanically inclined and able to pass pre-screening assessments.

Not only will you develop the important technical skills and the soft skills (like teamwork and communication) that Boeing seeks, as a graduate, you will be guaranteed an interview with Boeing.

More than 1200 graduates have been employed with Boeing during the 15 years Boeing and STLCC have partnered to provide this program.

A No Cost Program for Students

Currently there is no cost to students to attend either Boeing Pre-Employment Training track (SMAR or composites).

All costs are covered by Boeing St. Louis.

Two Assembly Mechanic Training Tracks

Sheet Metal Assembler & Riveter (SMAR)

208 hours of training

Day Classes

5 weeks | 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. | Monday-Friday

Evening Classes

8 weeks | 5-10 p.m. | Monday-Friday

Composites Mechanic

128 hours of training

Day Classes

3 weeks | 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. | Monday-Friday

Evening Classes

4 weeks | 5-10 p.m. | Monday-Friday


Program Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Résumé
  • U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be 18 years old to interview with Boeing

How to Apply

  1. First, email your résumé to boeingtraining@stlcc.edu.
    Please be sure to include all skills, hobbies, tools and work experience that would reflect your mechanical aptitude on the résumé, if any. Mechanical background is not a requirement.
  2. Once we have received your résumé, a program staff member will email you to schedule you for an Information Session, measurement and layout training and assessment.

A minimum score of 75% is required on each graded test/project.

Those who successfully complete the program will receive an interview with Boeing. Participation in this program does not guarantee employment.
