At its heart, the Central American country boasts an epic landscape that is home to nearly 5 percent of the world’s biodiversity. Discover how fragile these endangered ecosystems are as you travel through different rainforest preserves and unearth dazzling displays of color and sound.

Program Details

STLCC is cosponsoring this program with Study Missouri Consortium and EF Tours. Participants will be touring San José, the Arenal region, Los Chiles, Monteverde, the Central Pacific Coast, and Sarchi.

Program Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid passport
  • Must purchase limited health insurance through a designated STLCC vendor
  • Must sign up for a designated STLCC course
  • The program requires the ability to walk long distances both on uneven pavement and gravel paths.

Expenses

The program fee is $2770* per person based on triple and quadruple occupancy.  Additional fee for double and signle occupancy.

Tuition for associated course work is additional.

Limited health and evacuation insurance (approximately $15) is additional.

Academics

Depending on the number of participants we will either offer an associated Global Education course or each student will be responsible to arrange for an independent study course.
