STLCC-Meramec to Host UM Transfer Night

St. Louis Community College-Meramec is hosting transfer representatives from the University of Missouri-Columbia, UM-St. Louis, UM-Kansas City and Missouri S&T for their first-ever UM Transfer Night on Tuesday, Jan. 29.

The event is slated 5-7 p.m. in Room 105 in the Business Administration building on campus, 11333 Big Bend Road.

This is great opportunity for students who want to earn degrees from the University of Missouri system – as well as their families – to speak directly to representatives about the transfer process and learn about the finances of how to do it. Students save an average of $4,700 per year by attending STLCC over public four-year institutions for the first two years.

And those who worry about their credits transferring are in luck: credits are guaranteed to transfer with Missouri’s CORE 42 transfer guarantee.

“This event is designed to allow high school students and their families to learn about the benefits of earning a two-year degree from STLCC and then transferring to a University of Missouri school,” said Phillip Campbell, manager of admissions and enrollment services at STLCC-Meramec. “Students are still able to get a degree from their dream school, and parents don’t have to worry as much about how to pay for it. It’s a win-win.”

Those who attend the Transfer Night will have an opportunity to learn more about the programs and classes at each of the four University of Missouri schools as well as STLCC.

Interested students and their families can register at UMTransferNight.eventbrite.com. For more information, call 314-984-7379 or email Meredith Buschmann at mbuschmann4@stlcc.edu.
