Marshall elected to STLCC Board of Trustees

Anne Adams Marshall will be sworn in for a first term as a Subdistrict 3 representative on the St. Louis Community College Board of Trustees at its April meeting. Incumbent Joan H. McGivney chose not to seek reelection.

Marshall, a 34-year employee of Neiman Marcus in retail sales, defeated Paula Savarino, a recently retired 21-year employee of St. Louis Community College at Meramec. The uncertified vote from St. Louis County Board of Elections was 8,393 for Marshall; 7,108 for Savarino; and 153 write-in votes. The uncertified vote from St. Louis Board of Election Commissioners was 2,725 for Marshall; 2,340 for Savarino; and 67 write-in votes.

Marshall will serve a six-year term.

Subdistrict 3 includes southern and southwest portions of St. Louis City and the Maplewood-Richmond Heights, Affton, Bayless, Brentwood, Kirkwood and Webster Groves school districts.

The board of trustees meeting is April 25 at 5 p.m. at Corporate College, 3221 McKelvey Road in Bridgeton.
