Title IX Online Education Program

Title IX, a federal law prohibiting sex based discrimination, requires that institutions of higher education provide information to students and employees about policies and resources related to responding to and preventing sexual harassment and other forms of sexual misconduct (dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking). St. Louis Community College uses Haven, a nationally recognized online education program for this purpose.

Students, faculty and staff can all access this new online prevention program via Blackboard. Log in with your username and password (the same one you use to access your STLCC email).

  • Students: Once logged into Blackboard, look for the “Haven for Students” tab along the top. Then click the “Launch Haven for Students” tab and start the program.
  • Faculty and Staff: Once logged into Blackboard, click on the Communities tab along the top. You’ll see a “Title IX Online Program for Faculty and Staff Box.” Click the “Launch Haven for Faculty and Staff” tab to start the program. If you have taken the training before, please click on the green “Add a Course” tab at the top of the page. From there you will be prompted to select the course “Haven for Faculty & Staff” and select your employment group type from drop down options. You will be prompted to sign into Haven and then given access to the 2017-2018 online course.

You are only required to successfully complete Part 1 of the training. Part 2 is not required. Please ignore all references to Part 2.

Part 1 takes about 45 – 60 minutes to complete.
