Mobile Tech Center
St. Louis Community College recognizes the urgent need of business, industry and labor for skilled workers. In cooperation with local and regional employers and business and trade organizations, STLCC has developed numerous technical training programs that prepare students to fill today’s high-skill positions and make a measurable contribution from their first day on the job.
In an effort to make prospective students aware of the range of technical career options open to them, whether they are seeking technical training or an undergraduate degree, STLCC created the Mobile Tech Center. This 36-foot mobile classroom is fitted with current equipment, instrumentation and technology, and presents our technical programs to a range of audiences. The MTC contains a variety of educational modules and is designed to accommodate demonstrations related to various careers, including manufacturing, biotechnology, chemical technology, advanced networking and visual technology, to name only a few.
Funded and operated in cooperation with the Regional Technical Education Council, the MTC and program instructors are available to visit schools, businesses and industries, trade shows and community events.
For more information about the MTC or to schedule the MTC for an appearance at your school, business or event, contact Roger Nienkamp at 314-539-5306 or Gina Benesh at 314-539-5395.
