OPPORTUNITIES IN MANAGEMENT
Management is sometimes referred to as doing whatever it takes to keep the business above water. However, to grow and remain healthy there are basic skills which must be mastered. These core skills include areas such as problem solving, managing people, planning, delegating, communicating both in writing and verbally, and decision making.

Managers with these skills are needed in potentially every area of today’s economy. While the range of opportunities in management is broad and diverse it includes all phases of business, from small entrepreneurial companies to large corporations, the not-for-profit sector and the government.

A brief overview of some career opportunities for management includes: retail, human resources, accounting, advertising, banking and investments, finance and marketing.
