Accelerated Transfer Degree Programs
Accelerated Learning Transfer Degree programs provide working and adult students with two options for attaining General Studies Transfer degrees in a concise timeframe.
- The Weekend College offers a rotating schedule of weekend classes presented in abbreviated semesters.
- The Accelerated Learning program meets weekly on Tuesday evenings to cover nine integrated learning modules.
Weekend College - Forest Park
The Weekend College program offers students an opportunity to earn a degree in two years by taking all their courses on the weekends. This program, exclusive to the Forest Park campus, is designed for working adults who are unable to attend classes during the week. Whether you are seeking a college degree or simply want to take selected college courses at convenient times, this program will meet your needs. All of our weekend courses are offered in an accelerated (eight-week term) format and meet on Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays. If you would like more information about the Weekend College, please call the Continuing Education office at 314-644-9175.
Accelerated Learning Program - Florissant Valley
The Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) offers highly motivated, mature, college-ready students with a unique opportunity to earn a degree in two years taking classes only one night per week. This program, exclusive to the Florissant Valley campus, is designed for working adults whose work schedules and personal lives make enrollment in traditional full-time college programs impossible. The innovatively designed coursework has been prioritized and sequenced to maximize the amount of interactive concept exploration in a minimal amount of on-campus time. Emphasizing written and oral communication skills, courses are linked within thematically organized modules that are team-taught on Tuesday evenings. For more information, contact the ALP coordinator Chris Stephens at 314-513-4289 or cstephens@stlcc.edu.
