The Access office at each campus offers support services to students with disabilities and faculty and staff who work with these students. The mission of the Access office is to collaborate with faculty, staff, students and the community to encourage a college environment in which individuals are viewed on the basis of ability, not disability.
This is done by:
- Certifying and coordinating appropriate accommodations to promote access for persons with disabilities.
- Providing students with disabilities advising and counseling services that consider disability-related issues.
- Minimizing physical and attitudinal barriers.
- Building relationships and resources within the college and its community.
Ultimately, we envision a college community which values the contributions of all members regardless of disability and provides the opportunity for them to realize their greatest potential.
