Home Health Caregiver Training
"Home care is the preferred form of health care for millions of Americans as they go through their lives." National Association for Home Care and Hospice This class prepares you to help those choosing to age in place. This intensive, 10-week program will provide a combination of classroom instruction, lab training and practicum hours. Topics covered are: basic home health skills of client hygiene, home safety, home environment care, documentation, nutrition & fluid intake, vital signs & body functions, infection control basics, body mechanics, abuse & neglect reporting, psycho-social aspects of aging, communication with clients, families, agencies & co-workers, basic medication knowledge & CPR/first aid training.
