STLCC Alerts for Current Students, Faculty and Staff

In the event of a weather, safety or facility emergency, the College will use STLCC Alerts to share information. 

If you’re a current credit student or STLCC employee, you’re already enrolled in STLCC Alerts. To ensure that you're alerted in an emergency, it's recommended that you review your cell, home and work phone numbers  regularly to verify that they are up to date.

Unsubscribing from Notifications

We highly encourage you to keep receiving text STLCC Alerts, but if you must go, follow these steps to unsubscribe:

By Phone

To opt out of receiving emergency alert messages, text “STOP” to 51664.
You can resume emergency text messages at any time by texting “RESUME” to 51664.

Students and employees will always receive email alerts at their STLCC-issued email account. However, text-to- and text message preferences can be managed through the STLCC Alerts Contact Information form in Banner.

Parent and community members who created a Regroup account can manage text and email preferences by logging into Regroup.com.

Frequently Asked Questions

All STLCC students and employees are automatically set up to receive STLCC Alerts. However, to ensure you receive STLCC Alerts on your cell and/or home phone, be sure to verify your emergency notification information in Banner Self-Service. Email notifications are automatically sent to your STLCC account.

Parents and community members are welcome to sign up for STLCC Alerts.

STLCC Alerts will send direct messages in case of:

  • Closing and delays
  • Inclement weather and natural disasters
  • Emergency and threats to personal safety

In the event of an emergency, STLCC Alerts will contact you through via:

  • Email (student and employee STLCC-issued email account)
  • Text (cell phone)

When a decision is made to close or delay an opening, the College will use STLCC Alerts to share information. The College will communicate information on stlcc.edu and share details on other platforms.  View the Closing Procedures & Notifications page to find out more.

Yes. Parents, community members and individuals who frequently visit STLCC campuses are encouraged to create an account.

STLCC encourages all students, employees and individuals who frequently visit STLCC campuses to keep text notifications enabled. However, data rates do apply to text messages sent through STLCC Alerts. To unsubscribe from texts via mobile, text “STOP” to 51664 to opt out of emergency alerts.
