We provide a wide array of programs and services designed to prepare individual students, businesses and organizations for success in the workplace and the regional economy.

St. Louis Community College Workforce Solutions Group services of may be your answer if you are:

  • an employer looking for a qualified work force.
  • a business or other organization requiring a customized solution for a performance problem.
  • a recent high school graduate looking for career education.
  • a college graduate in need of hands-on applied skills.
  • unemployed or looking to change careers.

Our programs include:

Workforce and Community Development (WCD): a comprehensive service of St. Louis Community College responding to the talent development and organizational performance needs of St. Louis’ business, civic and community-based organizations. WCD has three primary departments:

  • Center for Business, Industry & Labor (CBIL) -- consulting and customized training services to local business and industry since 1984.
  • Employment and Training Center (ETC) -- job search and career counseling, job placement or referral to training services for individuals operating in partnership with seven Missouri Career Center locations throughout the area.
  • Community Workforce Partnerships (CWP)-- short-term, entry-level training in key occupations such as biotechnology and business and office technology, and partnerships with local business and community-based organizations.

Career and Technical Education (CTE): the college prepares students to succeed in more than 40 different career areas, including more than 90 degrees or technical certificates recognized by local employers.

Centers of Excellence: four industries critical to the economic viability of our region, including the Emerson Center for Engineering and Manufacturing, the Center for Plant and Life Sciences, the Advanced Networking Training Center and the Center for Visual Technologies.

Continuing Education: professional certification and education, plus short-term upgrade training through non-credit classes or programs.

Career & Employment Services (CES): offices at each campus connect employers seeking qualified employees to recent graduates looking for full-time employment or current students seeking part- to full-time employment.
