Retraining

Individuals who are enrolled in Workforce Investment Act programs at the Missouri Career Centers can utilize the skills enhancement services and may be eligible for classroom training.

SKILLS ENHANCEMENT

Job seekers can upgrade their keyboarding skills and improve their proficiency in Microsoft applications. Participants complete training modules customized to meet their skill level goals. Tutorials and assessment testing is available to cover a broad range of business related topics.

CLASSROOM TRAINING

Technological and job market changes may make it necessary for job seekers to change careers or upgrade their skills in order to find employment. Following comprehensive assessment, funds may be available through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) to assist with tuition for workplace skills. This training, which is provided at local approved public or private technical schools, colleges, or universities, must be in a growth area and lead to full time employment.
