Enrollment in the MoSTEMWINs grant program has been completed. This program, funded by the U. S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration and implemented by St. Louis Community College, developed and delivered workforce training programs from fall 2015 through spring 2018. Over 475 individuals participated in these programs to acquire the skills and credentials needed for high-wage, high-skill employment while also meeting the needs of employers in hiring skilled workers. The following Healthcare Workforce Training (HWT) programs will carry forward and are available for enrollment:

Watch Your Job Opportunities Grow!

Job opportunities are growing in the fields of Science, Engineering, Technology and Math (STEM). St. Louis Community College is participating in a statewide grant program – MoSTEMWINs – which allows qualified individuals to enter a no-fee MoSTEMWINs Portal program to discover their interests and select a STEM Career Pathway.

Even if science and math were not your best subjects in high school, you may find that your life experiences have led you toward a STEM career.


The no-fee MoSTEMWINs Portal program includes career coaching, digital literacy, a STEM Readiness course and a self-paced Adult Learning Academy.

  • Apprenticeship/Internship opportunities
  • Job-seeking assistance

  • Brush up on literacy and math skills with curriculum connected to job skills

STEM Career Pathways

Successful completion of the MoSTEMWINs Portal program qualifies you to enter a short-termed training program.

Previously offered programs included Certified Nurse Assistant, Community Health Worker, Life Science Laboratory Assistant, Industrial Maintenance Technician, IT Help Desk/End-User Support, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, and Precision Machining Technology.

Missouri Colleges Train the STEM Workforce

Missouri’s community colleges and the State Technical College of Missouri received this U.S. Department of Labor Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) grant to train an estimated 1,900 workers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields.

St. Louis Community College is preparing all segments of the STEM workforce – veterans, as well as current, transitional or new workers for engineering technology, health science, information technology and life science career pathways.
