St. Louis Community College is developing an entry-level portal that features diagnostic assessment, contextualized basic skills development, and career coaching aimed at helping low-skilled workers enter and succeed in manufacturing career pathways. A blueprinting component will help students map their manufacturing career and initiate career portfolio options that ultimately capture applicable prior learning and experience converted into college credit. The Portal is also designed to award credentials such as the National Career Readiness Certificate, an industry-recognized credential that certifies essential skills needed for workplace success.
