Background Information

Thank you for your interest in the MoManufacturingWINs program. Enrollment in this program is now closed.

Please check the STLCC Workforce Solutions site for training updates and opportunities. St. Louis Community College is continuously adding accelerated training programs for individuals.

The MoManufacturingWINs funds were made available under the U.S. Department of Labor's Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training Grant Program (TAACCCT). TAACCCT provides community colleges and other eligible institutions of higher education with funds to expand and improve their ability to deliver education and career training programs that can be completed in two years or less, are suited for workers who are eligible for training under the TAA for Workers program, and prepare program participants for employment in high-wage, high-skill occupations.

An important component of this grant is the collaboration between the colleges, the Missouri Department of Economic Development and the state's Workforce Investment Boards to retrain unemployed Missourians for jobs and careers in manufacturing. St. Louis Community College has partnered with the St. Louis St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE), St. Louis County Department of Workforce Development, and the United Auto Workers to provide:

  • MoManufacturingWINs education and outreach materials,
  • Candidate referrals, with priority services to TAA participants and Veterans,
  • Formal and informal workforce intelligence through career center business services units to employment and training needs in the manufacturing industry, and
  • Leverage business services, job placement and training assistance.
