The Community Services unit of Workforce Solutions Group advances local communities by partnering with employers, community organizations, education and government to create job training opportunities for residents and a talent pipeline for employers. Two key initiatives under the Community Services unit are accelerated job training programs and the operation of the college’s MET Center.
Short-term industry-specific training programs, offered in partnership with the college’s campuses and local employers, designed to help retrain adults for in-demand occupations.
A unique partnership of public, private and community-based organizations that serves as a starting point for unemployed and underemployed individuals who need to brush up on their skills, experience hands-on learning and enter the workforce.
The Community Services unit engages in unique local, state or national partnerships that focus on developing skills and improving opportunities for the region’s workforce. By partnering with employers, community-based organizations, education and government, Community Services is a key contributor to creating critical job training opportunities for our workforce and a talent pipeline for our region’s employers.
