Associate in Applied Science Degree (FV)
Associate in Applied Science Degree in Robotics Technology is a 67-credit-hour program that prepares students for positions in electro-mechanics, robotics and automation fields.
The courses are designed similar to engineering courses; however, there is less emphasis on mathematics. Students may substitute six credit hours of appropriate and relevant co-op experience for technical course and/or elective.
Graduates are qualified for positions in automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment, chemical, electrical, petroleum and food processing industries that utilize computer process control and computer-integrated manufacturing (including robots).
Persons interested in robotics technology should possess:
- Mechanical aptitude
- Good basic math skills
- Analytical skills
- Have an interest in computer applications
