Certificate of Specialization (FV, M)
Associate in Applied Science Degree in Real Estate is a 64- to 67-credit-hour program that prepares students to handle residential real estate transactions and real estate property appraisal procedures and requirements.
Certificate of Specialization in Real Estate is a 14-credit-hour program that prepares students for careers in the real estate appraisal industry. It also prepares them to sit for the licensure examination.
Coursework in the program meets the classroom requirements to take both the Missouri Real Estate Sales examination and the Brokers examination. Additional non-classroom requirements must be met before completing the Brokers examination.
Graduates are qualified for positions as real estate sales persons, real estate brokers, real estate appraisers and real estate property managers.
Real estate brokers or agents work irregular hours because schedules meet clients’ needs. The economy influences employment of brokers and agents because of fluctuation in interest rates and housing demand.
Persons interested in real estate should possess:
