Certificate of Specialization (M)
Certificate of Specialization in Landscapes and Gardening is a nine-credit-hour program that is offered at the Missouri Botanical Garden’s Kemper Center for Home Gardening and enhances students’ gardening skills.
This program prepares students for careers in landscape and garden design. Courses are offered at the Missouri Botanical Garden’s Kemper Center for Home Gardening. Students gain hands-on training to enhance their gardening skills, as well as learn about plant selection and care, weed and pest control, preparation and use of garden soil, and lawn care.
Persons interested in landscaping and gardening should possess:
- A love of working with plants
- An interest in observing the growth process
