Kenneth Worley

Ken Worley is an environmental artist, whose primary works focus on the totality of nature, both in its beauty and its power. Deviating from traditional landscapes, Worley often returns to the same locations over and over again to distill shapes from nature’s canvas and reinterpret them on his own.
Worley holds an Master of Fine Arts from San Francisco Art Institute in San Francisco, California; a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and has studied color lithography with James Butler at Illinois State University. He was awarded the Rome Prize in Painting (Prix de Rome) at the American Academy in Rome and the Chaloner Grant in Europe. Worley has held one-person exhibitions in the United States and in Europe, including the American Academy Gallery in Rome, Italy, The Maine Coast Artist Gallery in Rockport, ME, and the Messing Gallery, Emden Gallery, Missouri Bonsack Gallery, Elliot Smith Contemporary Art Gallery, Forest Park Community College Gallery and Bruno David Gallery, all in St. Louis. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in St. Louis, San Francisco, New York, Springfield, Missouri and Denver. Mr. Worley’s works can also be found in public and corporate collections including Bryn Maur College, Cincinnati Art Museum, Emerson Corporation, Edward Jones Investments, Illinois State University, Mastercard, Inc., and the San Francisco Art Institute.
