Mark Oakley

Mark Oakley has been a freelance illustrator for over 20 years. The majority of Oakley’s work has been in the area of comps and storyboards.  However he continues to produce work in other fields of art and shows his versatility through a wide range of subject matter and variations in style and imagery. Mr. Oakley employs traditional methods as well as working with the computer, using Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark and Dreamweaver in his projects. Among his clients are Entrepreneur Magazine, National Football League, Ralston Purina, Washington University, Mattel, Riverfront Times and St. Louis Magazine.

Oakley received his Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from Webster University and his Master of Arts in Painting from Fontbonne University. He has taught Illustration, Drawing for Graphics, Photoshop, Advanced Photoshop, Illustrator, Advanced Illustrator and Computer Art Studio at St. Louis Community College–Forest Park and Figure Drawing at the Wildwood campus. From 2002 to 2008 he served on the board of St. Louis Artworks as Treasurer, Program Committee member, Chair and Vice President.
