Tim Linder is an assistant professor in the Meramec art department, which he joined August 2008. Before returning to his hometown of St. Louis, he taught game design, digital media production, interface design, 3D animation, and web design at the University of Missouri-Columbia and Växjö University-Sweden.

When he is not teaching, Tim works as a freelance digital artist, specializing in interface design and 3D modeling. Some of his nationally recognized work includes the art direction and design of interactive exhibits for the YouZeum (Columbia, Missouri), the Children's Museum of Manhattan (New York, New York), the Smithsonian Institution (Washington DC), and the St. Louis Science Center (St. Louis, Missouri).

In addition, his freelance work has been featured in Hollywood studio motion pictures, major title console game releases and national television commercials.

Tim is currently working on his dissertation in effort to complete his doctorate from the University of Missouri in Information Science and Learning Technology. His post-graduate research and development work includes projects that range from advanced visualization in virtual reality to medical applications and interface usability.
