James Ibur

James Ibur is a nationally recognized ceramic artist and assistant professor at St. Louis Community College at Meramec. He has exhibited nationally and has had many solo and group exhibitions in the region. He makes both functional pottery and sculptural vessels and figures, and is curating a national exhibition called “Potters as Sculptors, Sculptors as Potters” for 2009’s Tempe-Phoenix NCECA. Ibur is currently working on a large scale ceramic mural for the renovating Jewish Community Center in Creve Coeur, Mo. which will be completed in March, 2009.
