Photography students participate fully in their learning experience, pushing the boundaries and testing the limits of what photography means today and what it will mean in the future. The program includes classes in analog, digital, video, and experimental processes, with an emphasis on developing a personal vision and an understanding of the medium's role in the larger art world.

Students are encouraged to experiment with a variety of photographic equipment and techniques, from pinhole cameras and alternative process to the latest in digital technology, not only to become technically proficient but to explore and find their own creative voice.

Graduates of this nationally recognized transfer program have gone on to successful careers in studio art, documentary photography, photo journalism, commercial photography, and other related fields.
