Prior to application to this program, the student must complete a total of 40 hours of documented job shadowing at two unaffiliated, licensed funeral service establishments. Each job shadowing event must be supervised, completed and verified in writing on appropriate business letterhead by a licensed funeral director and embalmer.
Prior to admission to this program, student must meet with the program director and/or other faculty for a personal interview.
NOTE: Students applying for admission to the Funeral Service Education program should contact their respective state boards of funeral service to determine if this program is approved by their state’s funeral board prior to enrolling in this program. Contact the program director for additional information.
Admitting Semester/Term: Fall and Spring after completing all addmissions requirements.
