Early Care and Education
Early Care and Education is a 24-credit-hour program of study consisting of eight classes. These 8 selected courses in the Early Care program fit directly into the AAS degree. This is desirable for students who would like to continue to study toward the AAS degree at a later time. Students who complete the certificate of proficiency can find employment in preschool and day care settings as an assistant teacher. The certificate of proficiency also includes 150 hours of practice teaching (ECE 105).
