Brian Edwin Ellison, Ed.D.

Brian Ellison  

Brian Edwin Ellison has served in a variety of leadership positions as a faculty leader and community college administrator.

His administrative experience includes serving as the dean of vocational education at Merced College, the dean of instruction at City College of San Francisco, and the vice president of instruction and student services at San Diego Continuing Education. Ellison also served as a senator and faculty association president while teaching psychology and sociology at Merced College.

Ellison earned his doctorate in educational leadership from the University of La Verne (Calif.). His master’s degree in sociology and a bachelor’s degree in sociology and psychology are from San Diego State University.

Ellison is a product of the community college system, having earned an associate degree in psychology from San Diego Mesa College. He is a first-generation college graduate.
