Bush-Munson Appointed Site Visitor for Commission on Dental Accreditation

May 06, 2015

Deborah Bush-Munson

Deborah Bush-Munson, associate professor in the Dental Assisting program at St. Louis Community College, has been appointed to serve as site visitor (curriculum consultant) for a period of five years to the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association.

Munson is one of approximately 550 individuals who play a vital role in program accreditation.

The commission relies on the expertise of a dental educator and/or practitioner to ensure the continued success of its mission to "serve the oral health care needs of the public through the development and administration of standards that foster continuous quality improvement of dental and dental-related educational programs."

Site visitors assist with the evaluation of dental or dental-related education programs. The commission uses the information in the self-study and site visitors report to formulate its decision about program accreditation.
