STLCC Master Series Goes “On the Road”

During the last four years, the St. Louis Community College Master Class Series has brought community and business leaders to the Forest Park campus for conversations that have inspired and motivated students to great heights.

Based on the premise that behind every successful leader is a great story, these leaders have shared stories of triumphs, challenges, disappointments and goals followed through life’s detours to unexpected destinations.

In the fifth year of the partnership with the St. Louis Business Journal, the Master Class Series is preparing to go “on the road” by taking a team of students, faculty and staff to the workplaces of business leaders to hold conversations with them in their environments. The conversations will still be recorded and accessible to the entire STLCC community as on-demand video from campus libraries.

Locations and subject are still being finalized, but the fall series should be filled with local entrepreneurs who help keep the St. Louis community in style in body, mind and spirit.

The Master Class Series is a collaborative, creative effort spearheaded by the STLCC-Forest Park Business Club in partnership with the St. Louis Business Journal and numerous campus departments. The series was recognized as the STLCC 2012-13 Innovation of the Year.

A testimonial for the Master Class Series is featured in this week’s edition of the St. Louis Business Journal.
