Does your heart beat faster at the thought of a quadratic equation?  Do you procrastinate when it comes to doing your math homework? You may be suffering from math anxiety.

Never fear. The St. Louis Community College-Forest Park Math department is here to save the day. Members of the faculty will be conducting free Math Anxiety Workshops – 10 workshops over five days (Feb. 23-27), to help you overcome your math anxiety.

The workshops will explore new approaches to learning math and are open to all STLCC students.

  • Recognize and begin to conquer math anxiety, avoidance and procrastination.
  • Select study strategies that are a good fit for you.
  • Adopt new approaches for solving word problems and using formulas.
  • Reduce math test anxiety so you can demonstrate what you know and get better grades.

Find out what works for you. Attend a workshop that fits your schedule.

  • Monday, Feb. 23, 12:30-2:30 p.m. or 3-5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 24, 10 a.m.-noon or 4-6 p.m.
