Meramec Theatre Presents “Wooed and Viewed & Romance in a Flat”

November 07, 2014

Wooed and Viewed

The St. Louis Community College-Meramec Theatre presents “Wooed and Viewed & Romance in a Flat” by Georges Feydeau Nov. 19-22 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. in the Meramec Theatre on campus, 11333 Big Bend Road in Kirkwood.

“Wooed and Viewed & Romance in a Flat” is directed by Keith Oliver with set design by Richard Willmore.

“Wooed and Viewed & Romance in a Flat,” the second production of the 2014-15 Meramec Theatre season, is two fast-paced physical comedies filled with love and laughter. Feydeau presents the lusty tradition of the French bedroom farce, as well as the extravagant humor that later found full expression in the theatre of the absurd. Wild plots and quicksilver wit characterize Feydeau’s plays. He was called the greatest master of the French comedy since Moliere.

The Meramec Theatre no longer takes reservations. Admission is free. Seating is open and on a first-come basis.
