STLCC Partners With Urban League to Host Job and Resource Fair in Ferguson

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis is partnering with St. Louis Community College to host a Job and Resource Fair 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Florissant Valley campus, 3400 Pershall Road in Ferguson.

The fair will provide residents of Ferguson, Dellwood and North County with job and educational opportunities, free food and toiletries, as well as recreational activities for youth.

“We are happy to partner with the Urban League and provide this opportunity for our community,” said Ruby Curry, interim president of St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley. 

“We are excited to provide much-needed services and resources to distressed residents in North County,” said Michael P. McMillan, president and CEO of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis Inc.

The Urban League is a social service and advocacy organization that works to fulfill its mission of empowering communities and changing lives. Programs are offered in the areas of economic empowerment, meeting families' basic needs, educational quality and equality, and civic engagement and social justice.
