This powerful two-character drama by David Mamet explores the impact of miscommunication, and portrays the detrimental consequences of a power-struggle.

It is a play about student/teacher interaction, as well as academic politics. The play's title, taken from a folk song, refers to a 19th century escapist vision of utopia.
