Taylor Joins Forest Park Staff as Vice President of Student Affairs

Franklyn E. Taylor, Ed.D., has been named vice president of student affairs at St. Louis Community College-Forest Park.

 

As the chief student services officer of the campus, Taylor will be responsible for formulating and implementing the budget, staffing, policies and procedures, long range planning, staff development and professional leadership for the student affairs division. He will oversee accessibility services, the assessment center, admissions, advising, athletics, career and employment services, counseling, financial aid, health services, registration and student activities.

 

Taylor was the assistant campus dean for student affairs and enrollment management at the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County for the past three years. UW-Marathon County is an urban, two-year campus of the University of Wisconsin System. Located in Wausau, Wisc., the campus has an average annual enrollment of nearly 1,300 students.

 

Before joining UW-Marathon County, Taylor was the area coordinator for the residence hall staff at Northern Arizona University for six years. Prior to that assignment, Taylor served five years as hall director at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

 

Taylor’s doctorate in educational leadership is from Northern Arizona University. He holds master’s degrees in education (University of Wisconsin-Whitewater) and public administration (University of North Florida), and a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the University of Sierra Leone.
