Gretencord and Mahan Join Faculty at STLCC-Wildwood

Timnah Gretencord, Ph.D., and Chris Mahan have joined the faculty at St. Louis Community College-Wildwood. 


Gretencord received her bachelor’s degree with emphases in editing and creative writing and her master’s degree with emphases in composition and rhetoric and creative writing for children and young adults from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She earned her doctorate with emphases in community informatics and library services from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. This fall, she will teach courses in English and an interdisciplinary course titled “Urban Legends in American Society.”


Mahan is a graduate of Washington University, where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mathematics. Mahan has been an adjunct instructor since 2008, and has taught on a part-time basis at St. Louis Community College’s Florissant Valley and Wildwood campuses, Washington University, the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Lewis and Clark Community College and Harris-Stowe State University. He will teach a range of math courses this fall, including a pre-calculus class offered in conjunction with Rockwood School District to high school students ready for an advanced, college-level course.
