Meramec Music Department Wraps up 2013-14 Season with Concerts and Residency

The Meramec Music department wraps up the 2013-14 season with a Spring Band Concert and a residency featuring two well respected musicians.

 

The symphonic band presents "New Music," featuring several new pieces written by local composers at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 27, in the Meramec Theatre on campus, 11333 Big Bend Road.

 

Residencies by cellist Eugene Friesen and violinist Darol Anger with the Meramec Concert Choir and Orchestra will take place Monday and Tuesday, April 28 and 29. The residencies will begin at noon on Monday and 11 a.m. on Tuesday in Room 102 of the Humanities West building.

 

There also will be a special open rehearsal at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, in the Meramec Theatre, with a concert that evening at 7:30 p.m., also in the theatre.
