Archers Return for Home Contest Saturday at Florissant Valley

Zuri Hill is one of four Archers scoring in double
figures this season. Hill is contributing 12.5 points per
game and is the team's leading rebounder at 10.6
boards per game.
Due to wet conditions in the gymnasium at Forest Park, the St. Louis Community College women’s basketball team will move its home game Saturday, Jan. 11, to the Florissant Valley gym.
The game against Cottey College tips off at 1 p.m.
The Archers enter the contest with a 9-3 mark, and will be seeking to get back on the winning track. They have only one victory in their last three contests, a 76-67 win over Mid-South Community College Dec. 19.
The Archers suffered two narrow losses, 75-73 to Mineral Area College Dec. 16 and most recently a 58-53 decision to Daytona Community College Jan. 4.
The Archers are averaging 67.1 points per game while holding their opponents to 58.4 per game. They also have outrebounded their opponents by a 463-280 margin in the first 12 games.
Freshman forward Deborah Holcomb is one of four Archers who have averaged double digits in scoring. Holcomb leads the team with an average of 15.7 points per game. Sophomore guard Kalah Martin is second, averaging 14.7 points a contest. Sophomore forward Zuri Hill is the leading rebounder at 10.6 per game and added 12.5 points an outing. Freshman guard Abby Hutson is contributing 11.2 points a game.
