Artist Daniel McGrath’s solo exhibit, “You Might Think That, I Couldn’t Possibly Comment,” now is on display through Feb. 7 at the Gallery of Contemporary Art at St. Louis Community College-Forest Park.

McGrath, an adjunct art instructor at Webster University, often includes absurdity or cynicism in his works.

Originally from England, he earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of California at Los Angeles and his master’s degree at King’s College in London. He has exhibited at local galleries in St. Louis.

In his statement about this exhibit, McGrath wrote: "Pens and photo albums, pairs of book ends and lightweight luggage, electric shoe polishers and heated towel stands and silver-plated insulated carafes and portable palm sized TVs with earphones, birdhouses and candle holders, place mats, picnic hampers and ice buckets, lace trimmed oversize linen napkins and umbrellas and sterling silver monogrammed golf tees and charcoal filter smoke trappers and desk lamps and perfume bottles, jewelry boxes and sweaters and baskets to hold magazines in storage boxes, office tote bags, desk accessories, scarves, file holders, address books, agendas for handbags..."

The gallery is open 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday. It is located in the Library building on campus, 5600 Oakland Ave. For more information, call 314-644-9231.
