Vincent Featherson, dean of allied health and natural sciences at Forest Park, has been named the lead dean for STLCC’s district nursing program.

He replaces Janet Walsh, who was the nursing program coordinator at Meramec before taking over the duties from Ruby Curry, academic dean of business and human development at Florissant Valley.

Featherson has been a full-time faculty member in the radiologic technology program since 1989, and has served as the health technology chair, and the radiologic tech program and clinical coordinator. He also served as interim dean for the division for nine months.

Featherson holds a master’s degree with emphasis in adult education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis; an associate degree in radiologic technology from STLCC-Forest Park; and a bachelor’s degree in education from Missouri Southern State University. He holds certification in radiography and mammography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Featherson was part of the Missouri Southern State University Silver Anniversary football team and is a member of the MSSU Athletic Hall of Fame. He also received the Outstanding Graduate Award from the UMSL College of Education, and is a life member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

He is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, the Missouri Society of Radiologic Technologists, and the Missouri Community College.
