STLCC Staff Members Receive Awards from MCCA

Four St. Louis Community College staff members received special recognition from the Missouri Community College Association at the recent MCCA Convention in Kansas City, Mo.

The MCCA Senior Service Awards were presented to Eileen Phillips of STLCC-Florissant Valley, Linda Nissenbaum of STLCC-Meramec, Philishea Ingram of STLCC-Forest Park, and Marilyn Taras of STLCC-Wildwood.

The awards are presented annually to one employee from each of Missouri’s 20 community college campuses. The honorees were selected to receive this award by college administrators in recognition of more than 20 years of service to the college.

Phillips, a secretary in the Communications department at Florissant Valley, has been employed by STLCC since 1971.

Philishea Ingram  

disAbility Support Services at Meramec, joined STLCC full time in 1988.

Ingram, Forest Park’s manager of campus life, has 32 years of service.

Taras, the director of student affairs at Wildwood, has been an STLCC employee since 1985.

The Missouri Community College Association is a statewide organization through which Missouri’s community colleges work together to advance common agendas. MCCA provides advocacy, education,


information and networking opportunities in service of the state’s 5,700 community college faculty, staff, administrators and trustees.
