Faculty Member Receives Outstanding Educator Award

Dr. Kim Granger, chair of mathematics at the Wildwood campus of St. Louis Community College, was recently awarded the Outstanding Developmental Studies Educator Award by the Midwest Regional Association of Developmental Education (MRADE).

MRADE’s members serve students at two– and four-year colleges and universities in Kansas, Illinois,  Iowa, Missouri and Nebraska in a variety of capacities.

Granger was nominated for her dedication to bringing best practices in teaching and learning to students in her classroom.

Granger earned a Doctor of Education in Higher Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles where her studies focused on factors that support student success in mathematics. She is an active member in the Missouri Mathematical Association of Two Year Colleges and was awarded the STLCC Chancellor’s Innovation Grant to work on a developmental math project in 2012.
