For the third straight year, the Meramec Concert Choir, led by Dr. Jerry Myers, has been invited to sing “God Bless America” at the Edward Jones Dome when the St. Louis Rams face the Washington Redskins Sunday, Sept. 16.

The contest is the Rams' home opener and the second game of the season.

“The Concert Choir first performed 'God Bless America' for the Rams in 2010, and was credited by the Rams staff as the group with the best performance of the season," said Myers. “They have extended an offer for us to return in each of the following two years before an offer was made to any other choir.”

Tickets are $40 each, and include a voucher for $10 to be used for food and beverage at the game as well as a donation to the Meramec Choir Scholarship.

“The ticket sales for the Rams games generated enough funds to start the Meramec Choir Scholarship in 2010. Since its inception, four students have received scholarships,” said Myers.

Tickets can be purchased in the Campus Life office, located in the Student Center at the Meramec campus, 11333 Big Bend Road.
