In recognition of St. Louis Community College’s 50th anniversary, Mo. Sen. Joseph Keaveny (D-District 4), center, presents a resolution from the Missouri Senate to STLCC officials at the Aug. 16 Board of Trustees meeting. Also pictured with Jones are, from left, Myrtle E.B. Dorsey, chancellor, and Libby Fitzgerald, chair of the STLCC Board of Trustees. The state’s first junior college district, STLCC has served more than 1.2 million students. More students transfer to Missouri’s four-year colleges and university from STLCC than another other college in the state. STLCC has an annual impact of $2.5 billion on the St. Louis region.
