St. Louis Community College will celebrate accomplishments of its basketball teams both past and present Feb. 20 when the current men’s and women’s teams host Lewis & Clark Community College at the STLCC-Forest Park gymnasium.

The Navy and Silver Spirit doubleheader tips off with the women’s game at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men’s contest at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Between games, college officials will recognize former and current coaches, players and staff who have contributed to the success of the basketball teams as part of STLCC’s 50th anniversary celebration. The sophomores on the current teams also will be recognized prior to the start of each game.

Special T-shirts will be given to the first 50 attendees with a valid STLCC I.D., and representatives of the Forest Park Student Government Association will be selling bags of popcorn. Proceeds from the popcorn sales will go toward the SGA’s Trees for Joplin Campaign, for which the students will purchase trees through the Arbor Day Foundation to be planted in Joplin, Mo., later this spring. STLCC-Florissant Valley’s step team, Static Noise, also will perform at halftime of each contest.

Admission to the Navy and Silver doubleheader is free. For more information, call 314-644-9780.

St. Louis Community College is committed to providing access and reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. If you have accommodation needs, please call 314-644-9780 within two working days of the scheduled event to request needs. Documentation of disability may be required.
