STLCC Faculty Receive MCCA Awards for Service

Three St. Louis Community College faculty members received special recognition from the Missouri Community College Association at the MCCA Convention in Branson, Mo.

Larry McDoniel of STLCC-Meramec, Lovedy Magagnos of STLCC-Florissant Valley, and Donald Cusumano of STLCC-Forest Park each received the MCCA’s Senior Faculty Service Award. The award is presented each year to one faculty member from each of Missouri’s 20 community college campuses. The faculty honorees were selected to receive this award by college administrators in recognition of more than 20 years of service to the college.

“Teaching at a community college is a unique and challenging job, and the association is proud to honor those who have a long record of excellence in this area,” said Zora Mulligan, MCCA’s executive director.
 
McDoniel, professor of English at Meramec, has 39 years of service with the college. Magagnos, associate professor in family and consumer science at Florissant Valley, has 39 years of service.Cusumano, professor in psychology/sociology at Forest Park, has 43 years of service.
