The Meramec Contemporary Art Gallery will present “Threshold of a Dream: The Photographs of Camera Work” Oct. 22-Nov. 18 in the gallery on campus, 11333 Big Bend Road.

Camera Work was an important quarterly journal published by Alfred Stieglitz from 1903-1917. This publication was known for its quality photogravure illustrations representing work by the most important pictorial photographers of the period. This exhibition will highlight these images and the journal’s purpose of establishing a forum for creative photography in America.

There will be an opening reception 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, with an introduction to the photogravure with Mark Katzman at 5:30 p.m.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday; and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. The gallery is closed Sundays and holidays.
