This Week in Archers Athletics -- Sept. 6-11

Men’s Soccer

Fresh off a 2-0 shutout of Neosho College, the men (1-2 overall, 0-1 Midwest Community College Athletic Conference) continue their long run of home games this week, as they prepare to host MCCAC foe East Central College at 4 p.m. Tuesday (today) and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M on Saturday. Wednesday’s game is at the Florissant Valley campus, while Saturday’s game will be the first half of a soccer doubleheader at the Meramec campus against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. The men’s match begins at 1 p.m., with the women’s game following.

Women’s Soccer

After scoring 17 goals in a recent two-game swing to Kansas, STLCC will hit the road once again. The Archers (3-1 overall) will take their high-powered offense to Illinois Thursday, when they square off at Lincoln College, which will conclude a stretch of four consecutive road contests. They return home Saturday, when they host Northeastern Oklahoma A&M at the Meramec campus. The match starts immediately following the Archer men’s contest.

 

Volleyball

For the third straight weekend, the volleyball team will be traveling to Illinois for a tournament in search of its first win of the season, this time to Lincoln, Ill., for the Lincoln College Tournament Sept. 9-10. The Archers competed in tournaments in Springfield, Ill., and Glen Ellyn, lll., the past two weekends.
